Who we are

Brakeyard Auto Parts UK Ltd operates from Bargate Yard on Bargate, in Linthwaite. We collect end-of-life vehicles across the Colne Valley, the Holme Valley and the rest of the HD postcodes, and we handle them properly once they are here.

We are small, and local, and that is the point. Most of what ranks for “scrap my car” around Huddersfield is not a yard at all — it is a website that takes your registration, sells your phone number on, and leaves you waiting for a stranger in an unmarked truck. Every vehicle is depolluted before anything else happens to it — fluids, battery, airbags, tyres. What can be reused is recovered; the shell is baled and goes back to the mills as steel.

You are welcome at the yard during opening hours. If you are handing over a vehicle worth a few hundred pounds, seeing where it is going is not an unreasonable thing to want.
